Goths is my next project with Greenwood Press. Publication is expected sometime in late 2010. This book will provide an introduction to goth culture in the United States, with some information about the development of the scene, which will take us through the U.K., Germany, Japan and elsewhere. While this book will not provide space to fully explore all facets of this complex subculture, it is my hope that I will help to dispel many of the myths linking goth culture to violence. I am relying heavily on interviews and insider accounts for this book, hoping to hear the story of goth history and the contemporary scene from those helping to create it.
